I read a lot of GLBTQ teen fiction this year and while a lot of them were really good (A Love Story Starring my Dead Best Friend almost made my list), Vast Fields of Ordinary stood out. How Beautiful the Ordinary, edited by Michael Cart (HarperCollins) In Mike We Trust, by P.E. Because that does in fact make sexuality the prime focus, if for the specific target audience's benefit. I am not going to write up a whole review for it, but I do believe this might be a 5 star book for me. Rat by Jan Cheripko This book came out in 2002, but it looks like it's been around since 1972. Annie on my Mind focused heavily on the sexuality.
